Contemporary Music Lab in collaboration with the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki presents a contemporary music concert entitled “B4 Hands – contemporary music works for solo piano, two pianos & piano (4 hands)” featuring the Latvian pianists Juris Žvikovs & Sanita Glazenbourga. The concert will take place on April 6, 2023, at 8:00 pm at the “Melina Merkouri” concert hall of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki (Fragon 15).

The concert will feature works by European and American composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. More specifically, works by Gyorgy Ligeti, Henry Cowell, George Crumb will be performed along with two world premieres of works composed by the students of the Department of Music Studies, Giorgos Bardakis and Yiannis Vogiatzis

The Žvikovs-Glazenbourga duo started their artistic journey 20 years ago and have given a series of recitals at various cities in Europe. In their concerts, the duo often gives a thematic character. The musicians who make it up are two accomplished Latvian pianists who perform regularly and work as professors at the JVLMA music academy in Riga.

Το Εργαστήρι Σύγχρονης Μουσικής σε συνεργασία με το Κρατικό Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης παρουσιάζει τη συναυλία με τίτλο “ B4 Hands – έργα σύγχρονης μουσικής για σόλο πιάνο, δύο πιάνα & πιάνο (4 χέρια)” με τους Λετονούς πιανίστες Juris Žvikovs & Sanita Glazenbourga. Η συναυλία θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 6 Απριλίου 2023, στις 8:00μμ στην αίθουσα “Μελίνα Μερκούρη” του Κρατικού Ωδείου Θεσσαλονίκης (Φράγκων 15).

Στη συναυλία θα παρουσιαστούν έργα Ευρωπαίων και Αμερικάνων συνθετών του 20^ου και 21^ου αιώνα. Πιο συγκεκριμένα θα εκτελεστούν έργα των Gyorgy Ligeti, Henry Cowell, George Crumb καθώς και δύο παγκόσμιες πρώτες εκτελέσεις έργων των φοιτητών του Τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών Γιώργου Bαρδάκη και Γιάννη Βογιατζή

To ντουέτο Žvikovs- Glazenbourga ξεκίνησε την καλλιτεχνική του πορεία πριν από 20 χρόνια και έχει δώσει σειρά από ρεσιτάλ στην Ευρώπη. Στις συναυλίες του το ντουέτο δίνει συχνά έναν θεματικό χαρακτήρα. Οι μουσικοί που το απαρτίζουν είναι δύο καταξιωμένοι Λετονοί πιανίστες που ερμηνεύουν τακτικά έργα σύγχρονης μουσικής και εργάζονται ως καθηγητές στη μουσική ακαδημία JVLMA της Ρίγα.
