Contemporary Music Lab presents a concert of modern music for piano, violoncello and violin. The concert is organised in collaboration with the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. You will have the opportunity to listen to works of contemporary music covering a time period of around 100 years. The concert takes place on the occasion of the visit to the Department of Music Studies of the renowned musicians Herta Hansena (piano) and Ēriks Kiršfelds (Cello). The musicians come from Rīga’s Jāzeps Vītols Music Academy (JVLMA) through the Erasmus+ mobility program. The concert features the Greek musician Konstantinos Kampantais (violin). The program includes works from various regions of Europe with an emphasis on Latvian contemporary music while exploring various aspects of contemporary trends in modern music aesthetics.
