Η πολυβραβευμένη και διεθνώς διακεκριμένη Νοτιοκορεάτισα συνθέτρια, καθηγήτρια σύνθεσης στο University of Texas, θα παρουσιάσει το έργο της στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών την Πέμπτη 2 Ιουνίου 2022 στις 18:00 στο φουαγιέ του κτηρίου. Η Sungji Hong είναι μεταξύ των φετινών κατόχων της υποτροφίας Guggenheim όπως και της υποτροφίας Charles Ives της Αμερικάνικης Ακαδημίας Τεχνών και Γραμμάτων.

The World-renowned composer from South Korea, teaching faculty at the University of Texas, will give a lecture on her work in the Music Department on Thursday, June 2 2002 at 18:00 (foyer). 

Sungji Hong, holds a Guggenheim fellowship for 2022, as well as the Charles Ives Fellowship of the American Academy of Arts.

Muvid-19 |  Media Arts and Pandemics – Alexander Grebtschenko

Contemporary Music Lab presents the German composer and director of the electronic music studio at the Music University of Freiburg, Alexander Grebtschenko.

On Tuesday, May 17th, 20:00, Alexander Grebtschenko will give a lecture at the Department of Music Studies of AUTh on “Electronic Music Beyond the loudspeakers”

Two experimental films will be screened on Wednesday, May 18th at 20:30 at the cinema “Tonia Marketaki” (Warehouse D, Port of Thessaloniki). The first one is an audio-stereoscopic film poem by Telemach Wiesinger with music by Alexander Grebtschenko. The second film is a project in progress called Muvid-19, and it consists of a collection of 180 short music videos, 19 seconds each, created by various artists during the first phase of the pandemics, an initiative of the Institute of New Music at the University of Music in Freiburg and the artistic curation of A. Grebtschenko.
