To Εργαστήρι Σύγχρονης Μουσικής παρουσιάζει μια διάλεξη-συναυλία του Δημήτρη Μαρίνου με θέμα “ΤΟ ΜΑΝΤΟΛΙΝΟ ΣΤΗΝ ΣΥΓΧΡΟΝΗ ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗ”
Στο εργαστήριο/συναυλία ο διεθνώς καταξιωμένος μαντολινίστας Δημήτρης Μαρίνος θα παρουσιάσει τρία έργα του 20ού αιώνα:
Sonata (1944) για σόλο βιολί του Béla Bartók
Anthèmes (1997) για σόλο βιολί του Pierre Boulez
Contrapuntal Variations (1995) για μαντολίνο και live electronics του C.P.First
Στα δύο πρώτα έργα του προγράμματος (Sonata, Anthèmes, γραμμένα για βιολί) το μαντολίνο παίζει τον ρόλο του “διαμεσολαβητή”, καθώς μέσα από μια διαδικασία “επαναγέννησης” εξερευνώνται, αφἐνός μεν, άγνωστες δυνατότητες του οργάνου, αφετέρου δε, άγνωστα και απροσδόκητα – στην πρωτότυπή τους εκδοχή – συνθετικά/ηχητικά γνωρίσματα των συγκεκριμένων έργων. Παράλληλα, οι μορφές/τεχνικές της φούγκας και της σονάτας επανεξετάζονται μέσα από το πρίσμα του ιδιαίτερου αυτού οργάνου στα, κατά βάση, πολυφωνικά έργα του προγράμματος.
Ο Δημήτρης Μαρίνος είναι ένας από τους σημαντικότερους μαντολινίστες διεθνώς και εξειδικεύεται στην σύγχρονη μουσική. Γεννήθηκε στην Ζάκυνθο όπου ξεκίνησε να παίζει το μαντολίνο στην μαθητική μαντολινάτα από την ηλικία των 7 ετών. Μέχρι σήμερα έχει δώσει σεμινάρια με θέμα “Νέες Τεχνικές του Μαντολίνου” σε μέρη όπως Tanglewood Music Festival, Harvard University, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, και Boston University μεταξύ άλλων. Για τον Δημήτρη Μαρίνο έχουν γραφτεί πάνω από 80 νέα έργα για μαντολίνο και ενόργανα σύνολα και ορχήστρες από Ευρωπαίους και Αμερικανούς συνθέτες. Έχει παρουσιάσει δουλειά του σε παραστάσεις στο Carnegie Hall & Merkin Hall της Νέας Υόρκης, Chicago Orchestra Hall, Teatro Fraschini στην Παβία της Ιταλίας, “Παγκόσμιες Ημέρες Μουσικής” στην Αγγλία και στο Λουξεμβούργο, Gaida Festival στην Ληθουανία, “Αναγεννησιακό Φεστιβάλ Ρεθύμνου” και Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών μεταξύ άλλων. Έχει παρουσιαστεί σαν σολίστ με την Ορxήστρα των Χρωμάτων, I Solisti Veneti, Chicago String Ensemble, Portugese Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra μεταξύ άλλων.

In the workshop/concert Dimitris Marinos will present three compositions of the 20th century:
Sonata (1944) for violin solo by Béla Bartók
Anthèmes (1994) for violin solo by Pierre Boulez
Contrapuntal Variations (1995) mandolin and live electronics C.P.First
In the first two compositions of the program (Sonata, Anthèmes, written for violin), the mandolin plays the role of “mediator”, since – in a process of “rebirth” – both the instrument’s unknown potentialities and the unknown and unexpected – in their original version – compositional/sonic features of the specific compositions are explored. At the same time, the forms/techniques of fugue and sonata are re-examined from the perspective of this particular instrument in the program’s –essentially polyphonic – works.
Dimitris Marinos is one of the most important mandolinists worldwide and specializes in contemporary music. He was born in Zakynthos where he began playing mandolin in the school’s mandolinate since he was 7 years old. He has given seminars on “New Mandolin Techniques” in places such as Tanglewood Music Festival, Harvard University, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, and Boston University among others. More than 80 new mandolin works have been written for Dimitris Marino and performed by European and American composers and orchestras. in Lithuania He has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra of Colors, I Solisti Veneti, Chicago String Ensemble, Portugese Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, among others.
