To Εργαστήρι Σύγχρονης Μουσικής του Α.Π.Θ. διοργανώνει συναυλία με ένα από πλέον ενεργά σύνολα σύγχρονης μουσικής της Αυστρίας, το σύνολο airborne extended.

Tο σύνολο airborne extended που ιδρύθηκε το 2013 είναι ένα αποκλειστικά γυναικείο κουαρτέτο σύγχρονης μουσικής που αποτελείται από έναν ιδιαίτερα ενδιαφέροντα συνδυασμό οργάνων: φλάουτα, φλογέρες/φλογέρες Paetzold, άρπα, τσέμπαλο/πιάνο, με ή χωρίς ηλεκτρονικά. Ο ασυνήθιστος αυτός συνδυασμός οργάνων δίνει τη δυνατότητα δημιουργίας ενός ευρέος φάσματος νέων ήχων και ηχοχρωμάτων που εμπνέουν τόσο τους συνθέτες όσο και το κοινό σε όλο τον κόσμο.

Ως μέλος του αυστριακού προγράμματος ΝΑSOM 2018/19 το σύνολο είναι επίσημος πολιτιστικός πρέσβης της Αυστρίας για τη σύγχρονη μουσική παρουσιάζοντας ανά τον κόσμο έργα γραμμένα ειδικά για το σύνολο. Το ρεπερτόριό τους αυξάνεται συνεχώς και περιλαμβάνει έργα πολλών ευρωπαίων συνθετών όπως, μεταξύ άλλων, Bernhard Lang, Manuela Kerer, Caroline Profanter, Iannis Xenakis, Stefano Gervasoni, Gabriele Manca, Mario Pisati, Giorgio Magnanensi, Doina Rotaru, Dmitri Kourliandski, Marina Poleukhina, Juan Pablo Trad Hasbun. Το 2018/19 το airborne extended ensemble έχει συμμετάσχει σε γνωστά φεστιβάλ όπως, μεταξύ άλλων, Wien Modern, Musikprotokoll Graz, Stanislawsky Electrotheatre Moscow, Arad Philharmony, Intrada Festival Timisoara, Vancouver New Music.

Contemporary Music Lab (A.U.Th.) organizes a concert with one of the most active Austrian ensembles of our time, the aiborne extended ensemble.

airborne extended was founded in 2013 and is a female Quartett for contemporary music consisting of the instruments harp, harpsichord/keyboard, flutes, recorders/Paetzoldflutes, with and without electronics and performance. The unusual combination of these instruments gives airborne extended the possibility to create a wide range of new sounds and colours that inspires both composers and the public all over the world.
As a part of the Austrian NASOM-program 2018/19 airborne extended is currently official Austrian cultural ambassador for contemporary music and presenting worldwide new works written for the Ensemble. Their repertory is constantly growing and includes music by many European composers such as Hannes Kerschbaumer, Paolo Rimoldi, Bernhard Lang, Manuela Kerer, Caroline Profanter, Fernando Riederer,Wolfgang Mitterer, Bernhard Geigl, Elisabeth Schimana, Arturo Fuentes, Mirela Ivcevic, Peter Jakober, Iannis Xenakis, Stefano Gervasoni, Gabriele Manca, Marina Poleukhina among others.
In 2018 & 2019 airborne extended performs at renowned fesivals like Wien Modern, Musikprotokoll Graz, Stanislawsky Electrotheatre Moscow, Arad Philharmony, Intrada Festival Timisoara, Festival Expan Spittal, Festival of the Istanbul Composers Collective, Lycée Francais Istanbul, Leicht über Linz, Toblacher Festwochen, Posener Frühling, Szpilman-radio-concerthall Warsaw, Festival „Saptamana internationala a muzicii noi“ Bukarest, Collegium Musicum Lviv, Odessa Classics, Novalis Festival Osijek, Intrada Festival Timisoara, Music Tribune Opatija, Geiger-Festival Göteborg, Panorama Festival Aarhus, Carinthischer Sommer, CMMAS Mexico, Festival Unicum Ljubljana, Isreali Composers League Tel Aviv, New Works Calgary, Vancouver New Music among others.
