Lecture A
Who is writing — “it” or “me”?
Decisions and Developments in Composition

Composition can be described as an “active passivity”: to listen to the (sounding) material, to discover what is inside it, to develop its potentials. This will be shown on examples of my music, and continued by a discussion about the reasons and consequences of certain decisions in the process of composing.

Madnesses and Methods
Some Aspects of Creating Electronic Music

“Though this be madness, yet there is method in’t”, Polonius in Shakespeare’s Hamlet says. Maybe we could change this to: “Though this be method, yet there is madness in’t”? Would this describe some main aspects of working in the electronic domain?

Το Εργαστήρι Σύγχρονης Μουσικής παρουσιάζει δύο διαλέξεις του Joachim Heintz.

Πρώτη Διάλεξη
Ποιος το γράφει – “αυτό” ή “εγώ”;
Αποφάσεις κι ανάπτυξη στην Σύνθεση

Η σύνθεση μπορεί να περιγραφεί ως “ενεργή παθητικότητα”: το να ακούει κανείς το (ηχητικό) υλικό, να ανακαλύπτει το εσωτερικό του, να αναπτύσσει το δυναμικό του. Αυτό θα δειχθεί με παραδείγματα μέσα από την μουσική μου και στην συνέχει θα ακολουθήσει συζήτηση σχετικά με τους λόγους και τις συνέπειες συγκεκριμένων αποφάσεων κατά την διαδικασία της σύνθεσης.

Δεύτερη Διάλεξη
Τρέλα και Μέθοδοι
Μερικές όψεις πάνω στην δημιουργία ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής

“Παρόλο που αυτό είναι τρέλα, υπάρχει ωστόσο μέθοδος εντός του”, λέει ο Πολώνιος στον Άμλετ του Σέξπιρ. Μπορούμε άραγε να το παραφράσουμε ως εξής: “Παρόλο που αυτό είναι μέθοδος, ωστόσο υπάρχει τρέλα εντός του”; Θα περιέγραφε το παραπάνω κάποιες βασικές πτυχές στην σύνθεση στον χώρο της ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής;
